With the British economy stagnating, solving the economic growth puzzle is vital to the UK’s short and long-term prosperity.

Mark Littlewood, Director general, Institute of Economic Affairs

Mark is director general of the Institute of Economic Affairs and the IEA’s Ralph Harris Fellow. Mark has overseen significant growth in the IEA’s size, influence and media profile during his tenure, since 2009.
Mark also sits on the Board of Big Brother Watch, a non-profit organisation fighting for the protection of privacy and civil liberties in the UK.
Mark is recognised as a powerful, engaging and articulate spokesman for free markets. He is a much sought-after speaker at a range of events including university debates, industry conferences and public policy events.
He also features as a regular guest on flagship political programmes such as BBC Question Time, Newsnight, Sky News and the Today Programme. He writes a regular column for The Times and features in many other print and broadcast media.

Kate Andrews, Economics editor, The Spectator

Aria Babu, Policy fellow, Startup Coalition

Aria is a policy fellow at the Startup Coalition and senior fellow for technology and AI policy at Policy Exchange. Her background includes work in and outside of policy. She has worked at a biodiversity start-up, organised a conference on progress studies for Civic Future, and worked as an analyst for Public First.

Ted R. Bromund, Senior research fellow, Heritage Foundation

Ted studies and writes on Anglo-American relations, U.S. and British relations with Europe and the European Union, U.S.-Canadian relations, America’s leadership role in the world, and international organizations and treaties as senior research fellow in The Heritage Foundation’s Margaret Thatcher Center for Freedom.

Matthew Elliott, President, Jobs Foundation

Matthew has worked on UK public policy for almost twenty five years, including overseeing two national referendum campaigns, founding four high profile pressure groups and convening two respected policy commissions.

Liam Halligan, Economics editor, GB News

Liam is the Economics and business editor of GB News and co-presents a daily show, Monday to Friday, with Gloria De Piero.
He previously led the economics and business coverage at Channel 4 News and has written and presented numerous Dispatches documentaries for Channel 4 television – mainly on economic and business issues. He has also worked for CNN and presented radio shows for the BBC and LBC.
